North East Needs more social Entrepreneurs

While addressing the farewell Programme of the second batch of 43 social work professionals from NEISSR, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Chhabra, the Principal of Unity College, Dimapur said that we need more and more social entrepreneurs to transform the society. As the  Chief Guest of the function he appreciated the initiative of the Catholic church in establishing  the social work institute and through which many social work  professionals have been groomed to bring development and empowerment in the troubled region. He also stressed on the genuineness and value based social work professionals who need to be committed, sincere and hard working to wipe out all forms of injustices and corruptions from the face of the society.  While lamenting on the different social problems, he also exhorted the outgoing social work professionals about the urgent need of intervention in such areas to combat it effectively to resolve people’s problems with their learning. Referring to Outgoing batch, Dr. Chhabra appreciated the students in  choosing the  right course and expressed his confidence in every social work professionals of NEISSR that  you are going to bring  a positive changes in the lives of people and transformation in our communities.

Fr. Dr.C.P. Anto Principal NEISSR, while addressing the students said that our society needs more social doctors to heal the wounds of society and find out the root causes of the various problems and the reasons for its  exists in the society. Thus, NEISSR has trained 43 social doctors who are skilled and empowered to help the individuals, groups and communities. As he was exhorting the youth he said that around 60% percent of the youth have been placed for the job before their final exams and trying to give the job placement to all very shortly. After the formal session, almost all of them shared their experiential learning  in the family of NEISSR.  The programme highlights were the  Chrous, discours, musical piece, parol,  sharing of learning experiences and Mr. Senti Wati welcomed and Rev.Fr. John Poji, the administrator concluded the day with the prayer of blessing.
