Rosa Dalmiglio was born in Garlasco, Italy.

She is a member of the China Council Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe (special art, culture and humanity), which touches the hearts of all people and portrays the strong willpower so encouraging to 60 million Chinese disabled persons.

Ms. Dalmiglio is Intermediary Agent of CICE, Centre International Cultural Exchange, a direct subsidiary of the Ministry of Culture, People’s Republic of China. CICE is a comprehensive institution engaged in cultural exchange programs, professional publication and presentation of cultural art works such as exhibits, receiving foreign art troupes and artists, holding international cultural research programs, and producing intercultural and interreligious documentary films.

She is a member of China Disabled Person’s Federation, CDPF. She is also a member of the International Women Federation, which is concerned with the financial ethics of women s enterprises in underdeveloped areas.

Brief  Introduction:

Established in 1958 and subordinated to China Disabled Person’s Federation, Beijing Massage Hospital is registered at Beijing Municipal Bureau of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is an appointed specialized hospital for the Basic Medical Insurance System in Beijing. Covering a land area of 4000m/2 and a floor area of 2929m/2, it has over 150 full time staff.

Beijing Massage Hospital is the first hospital in China that employ people with visual impediment to conduct massage and is the birthplace of China’s modern therapeutic massage by blind people. Presently, more than 40 blind massage therapists are working at the clinic, showing the nation’s outstanding achievements in offering employment for the handicapped people.

Beijing Massage Hospital focuses on diseases. It  has gradually formed a special treatment mode, which features with manipulation treatment taking the dominant position and physical and medication treatment playing a supporting role. It  treats diseases including cervical spondylopathy, protrusion of lumbar intervertebral disc, periarthritis of shoulder joint, pediatric cerebral palsy, infantile torticollis, ect with significant curative effect.

It receives more than 600 outpatients everyday. The hospital has Impatient Department, and other specialized departments such as Massage Department, X-ray Department, Laboratory Test Department and Pharmacy.

While fulfilling the clinical medical service, the hospital has made great efforts in training massage therapists and carrying out research and academic events on massage therapy. Over one hundred research thesis from the hospital have been published in the national provincial and municipal journals. Over 10 monographs on medical science such as THE PANDECTS OF CHINESE MASSAGE, THE PANDECTS FOR RETAINING YOUTHFUL LOOKS, MASSAGE THERAPEUTICS, MASSAGE MANUAL have been compiled and published.

The hospital boasts its Subordinate Massage-training School for various medical and sanitarian massage training courses, and provides clinical interships for Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Changchun University and Beijing Union University. Some 600 students from China and abroad attend the courses each year.

As one of the largest specialized massage hospitals in China, it has many professional academy exchange and cooperation with many countries. The hospital often sends experts abroad to give lectures and attend international academy conferences. It runs cooperative clinics in several countries.

Siheyuan (a residential compound arranged around a quadrangle courtyard), typical of the traditional architecture in Beijing, is characteristic of the Chinese people and rich in cultural connotations.
