- More than 600 Kms Foot March covering hundreds of villages of Gaya, Jahanabad and Aurangabad districts of Bihar State (India):: (the year 2008)
This Foot March was organised by the Gokul Social University with the motivation of Vivek Umrao Glendenning to live talks with villagers on Cow based village economy. This Foot March was not sponsored, and Foot Marchers were staying in unknown villages and were begging food & shelter for the night stay in unknown villages. The Gokul Social University started to get support and now this university has more than 100 centres in more than 100 villages by covering a population of more than 70,000 people with the ownership of local people even though Gokul University is not funded or sponsored till now (May 2009). There was no media Celebrity in this Foot March.

- More than 900 Kms Foot March covering three district-sub-divisions, seven blocks and about 90 village councils areas were covered thoroughly of Khagaria district, Bihar State (India):: (the year 2007)
This Foot March was organised by the LGDESG in the leadership of Vivek Umrao Glendenning for live talks with people on Local Social Governance and Social Ownership also to understand ground realities. This Foot March was not sponsored. Foot Marchers were walking villages to villages up to late night and were staying in unknown villages and were begging food and shelter for night stay from unknown villagers. This Foot March was welcomed a lot because in some remote villages after independence (more than 6 decades) it was the first incident that people were going there to talk with them about their developments. There was no media Celebrity in this Foot March.

- More than 250 Kms Foot March covering villages of 3 Districts of Uttar Pradesh (India):: (the year 2004)
NAPM (National Alliance of People’s Movements) organised this Foot March on Water Privatization Issue. People from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi and other states participated in this Foot March.
- More Than 800 Km Foot March covering villages of 10 Districts of Uttar Pradesh (India):: (the year 2002)
NAPM (National Alliance of People’s Movements) organised this Foot March for Communal Peace. Activists and volunteers from Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and other states participated in this Foot March. 6 persons including Vivek Umrao participated from the start to the end of Foot March.
